Latent Racism And Vanderbilt University
Why is it that every time I write an article suggesting that Jay Cutler appears stoned and retarded, I draw the ire of one member of the Vanderbilt community or another? Mind you, I don’t even say that Jay Cutler IS stoned and retarded, merely, I suggest that he APPEARS stoned and retarded.

Meanwhile, Brian writes at length about how Tracy McGrady appears stoned and resembles Sandy Duncan and no one from Vanderbilt says a thing about it.

This is proof positive that racial double standards still exist. In backwoods like Vanderbilt, people walk around thinking, “That negro appears ’stoned’ on marijuana smoke. Well, that’s what negroes do!” It’s repulsive to think that Jay Cutler is presumed not to be a habitual pot smoker or methamphetamine addict simply because he was born white. Let’s all take a stand against this kind of thinking. Let’s all get along.

I wonder if Jay Cutler stayed in this dorm?

This issue of racism may be deeper than you think Keith.
While I definitely recognize the criticism warranted for that other Cutler post, Keith, I don’t think it supports the racial double standard that exists in sports. If TMAC went to Vanderbilt, I would have been more inclined to defend him. Again, I realize that defending my previous comment is outrageous, but it makes sense that a Broncos or Commodores fan would be quicker to defend Cutler, whether that fan is racially sensitive or ignorant.
I should change my name to validatorofidioticposts.
Jay Cutler probably is stoned, and very well may be retarded. He’s a fairly nice guy, apparently. (He also got arrested at Vandy once for his drunken shenanigans).
Vanderbilt is probably as racist as any other school that prides itself on being southern, which is more racist than it should be, but less racist than most would expect.
